Get to know me

My name is Hannah, I'm 33 years old and I was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. My company "Iron Revival" is my passion. I started this kind of work in 2019 back in Chicago and I started my LLC in October 2023, when I moved to Savannah. I'm dedicated to bringing new life to your metal structures. I don't weld, so most of my work is restoring/cosmetic, though I can do some minor repairs. I'm a perfectionist, especially when it comes to my work. That is why I prefer working by myself. I do all jobs on my own, even the really big ones. That way I can guarantee high quality work!

The dog in this picture is my Doberman Murphy, I adopted her in February 2024 and we're the best team! She sometimes even joins me at work :)

Painting has always been a very big part in my life. Since my dad is an interior/exterior painter I've learned this skill at a very young age. I painted countless walls in my life, refinished and painted furniture (Instagram, click here: ) and eventually got introduced to the metal world when I lived in Chicago.

I've always been a very crafty person - making pottery, wood and rock carving, jewelry making and many other things. But I'm also lucky to have learned a lot of skills from my dad (he is one of those that can do or build everything). Among other things we built a kitchen, a pool and two patio roofs together. He taught me how to lay bricks and tile backsplashes, how to work with wood and so much other stuff. Pretty much everything I know about the handy-world is because of my awesome dad!

My vision/mission

In a world where we produce so much waste and replace things way too often, I want to do a small part in helping to reduce that. Most metal structures can be easily restored and will last for many more years. If the maintenance is done right, for decades even. Though sometimes certain parts have to get fixed due to rust and corrosion - it is much cheaper to keep the old metal structure than replacing everything.

Especially in a city like Savannah, where we have tons of historical fences, gates and other structures, it is important to salvage it. It would be a shame if more and more get's replaced with new, modern things.

These old structures also tend to survive longer, at least those made out of cast iron or solid metal. Most metal these days is hollow, the metal is just a few millimeters thick and rusts much faster than the old stuff. Another reason to maintain the old, excisting structures!
